More than Just ‘Escape’ from the
sand

Sadly, for a lot of players, greenside bunkers are a scary prospect. However, the green side bunker shot is actually one of the easier shots around. That is as long as you know how to hit it ………
 
The key to getting this shot right is all in the set-up and concept of what you are trying to do.

üYou are trying to hit the sand not the ball.
üYou are chopping it out, not scooping it out of the bunker
üYou are setting up slightly open with both your stance and clubface,
not square or closed to the target, unless the ball is plugged.

Yes, I know that sounds like a lot but I’ve made some pictures to show you what I’m talking about
